CVC Consulting

Each foreign company, before entering the U.S. market, should go through a process of strategic planning in order to define the most appropriate strategy and form of entry, which ultimately would give the company a sustainable competitive advantage.

CVC will guide and assist your company through the entire planning process. We will make sure that your activity will start and grow successfully in the American market.

The following is the diagram of our consulting activity; we take your company from the export strategy formulation process through implementation.

First Part:
In this phase, called the export strategy formulation process, CVC provides a full consulting service on defining your company's export vision, mission, objectives and general strategic directions you intend to obtain in the U.S. market. This very important phase is subject to revision after we proceed with the research and analysis of the company's external factors, consisting of pertinent information on the economy, competitors and prospective customers. Once we have established that there are solid business opportunities for your company in the U.S. market, we proceed with your company's internal analysis. This study allows us to determine a perfect alignment between the external market opportunities and your internal company's capabilities necessary to satisfy them. It is only at this stage that we are able to define your company's most successful strategy to operate in the American market. We also define the most appropriate form of entry ranging from a simple export strategy to a more important form, which may include the creation of a wholly owned subsidiary. This first part concludes with a feed back process. As we mentioned above, the initial export vision, mission, objectives and generic strategy the company intends to pursue in the American market, must be revised, and if necessary, changed as a consequence of each new piece of information collected and analyzed.

Second Part:
In this phase, called the export strategy implementation process, CVC provides a full consulting service on:

  • The company's export operating plan
  • Organizational structure with important control procedures
  • Feed-back process that may require a change strategy

The export operating plan includes also the following plans:

  • Legal structure plan
  • Product plan
  • Marketing plan
  • Financial plan
  • Human resources plan
  • Exit strategy plan

At the end of this second phase, your company will have an extremely valuable export business plan. It will be the platform on which to build a durable and sustainable competitive advantage of your company in the American market.
